Opportunities to Volunteer
We are proud of our strong tradition of parent volunteers! The following is a list of many of the areas in which we provide volunteers to support the school and Parent Crew Foundation events. If you indicated an interest in one or more areas when completing Online Check-In, a PCF committee chair will follow up once school starts to give you more information on these opportunities, or feel free to reach out to the contact person listed below. [Note for 2020/21 school year: COVID restrictions mean volunteering looks a little different this year, but we will be making as many opportunities to volunteer wherever possible. We appreciate your flexibility and ideas to make things as normal as possible for our Crews!]

Looking for Volunteers to Lead the following NEW Committees for the 20/21 School Year
  • Adventure Ed Committee: Gear Planning, Announcing local gear sales, Help new families prepare for voyages
  • Safety Committee: Planning activities/kits to keep kids busy during safety evacuations, coordinate volunteers for crosswalks and kiss n' go lane
  • Sustainability Committee: Plan/Coordinate sustainability projects for school, create podcasts or come up with ways to keep families informed about sustainability.
  • Grant Committee: Experienced grant writers needed to apply for grants for school fundraising

Parent Driver
Need 2 weeks prior
  • Picture of Driver’s License: email picture to janell.lewis@dcsdk12.org or give to front desk
  • Copy of Declaration of Insurance (auto insurance policy showing vehicle coverage amounts): email copy of first page to janell.lewis@dcsdk12.org or give to front desk
  • Complete Parent Volunteer Agreement form (link above)
  • Complete Driver Authorization form  (link above)

Parent Chaperone for Day Trip
Need 1 week prior
  • Complete Parent Volunteer Agreement form (link above)
  • Scan Driver’s License into Raptor System at front office

Need 10 days prior
