Parent Crew Spotlight - The Nein Family

The REMS Parent Crew Board is happy to introduce you to a familiar face for our May Volunteer of the Month - meet the Neins!

My name is Kristen Nein and my family and I love being a part of the REMS crew.  My husband and I have 3 kids in the Renaissance Community. Our twin boys, William and Kellen, are at REMS in the 3rd grade. Our daughter, Lena, went to REMS and is now next door at RSS in the 7th grade. I am so thankful for the ability to volunteer at REMS in so many ways. I have supported science activities in almost every grade level this year, including helping run the STAR Lab, making 3-D cells in 6th grade, and bringing an incubator into the school to hatch chicks. I also love chaperoning voyages and belaying for climbing week. As a family, we feel fortunate that our kids are at a school that supports them academically, emotionally, and socially, and that there is such an emphasis on being crew, not passengers. We love REMS and WE ARE CREW!
