Parent Crew Spotlight - Ivonne Acevedo

​Ivonne Acevedo has been a REMS mom since 2016 when her daughter Daniela was accepted in first grade. Then in 2018, Lucas entered kindergarten. Since 2016, Ivonne has been volunteering in different roles; from collecting wine bottles for the wine wall for the Auction for 3 years in a row, to attending three voyages with Daniela and one with Lucas, volunteering at RAD, helping with the OLE, helping teachers in the classrooms, belaying, and many other events. She believes that by volunteering and supporting the school, she is also modeling REMS core values. Moreover, by volunteering at REMS she feels more connected not only to her kids, but to the REMS community. After all, we parents volunteer because we are crew as well!
